Three-point top-rankers remain in sixth place and are only lags behind the quarter-finals of Liverpool. Arsenal’s goal was scored in the first half after 25 minutes by Shkodran Mustafi who dropped the ball into the net and sent Alexandra Lacazetta a goalkeeper for Julian Speroni.

The home crowd was not pleased with that one. 50 minutes into the game, Wilfried Zaha came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 – 0, Andros Townsend shot a fine shot from the left 13 yards out. In the 62nd minute, Sanhcez tied the Speroni near the back door after Lacazetta. Four minutes later, playwright Jack Wilshere sent a half-way into the penalty area, Sanchez brilliantly stopped the ball and raised it to 1: 3. The final score was James Tomkins header after a corner kick.

Arsene Wenger tied the record of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson (528 wins as Manchester United coach), sitting 810 times on Arsenal’s bench in the Premier League. He was happy with the 468th victory. On Sunday, he will be the new record holder at West Bromwich.
