Yaya Toure has announced that he is ready to play again for Côte d’Ivoire if the management is called up. The Manchester City star finishes the national team’s retirement, the last match for the selected series last September.
His agent, Dimitri Seluk , explained that the 34-year-old midfielder will not refuse to invite the national team if he gets it. Toure, who has more than 100 appearances for his country, was also a member of the winning team at the African Championship in 2015.
His agent hinted that Toure did not intend to finish his career yet. But he can not be the most pleased with City’s status – in this season he collected only eight performances after the summer one-year extension of the contract. If he wants to win another national championship, he will have to wait at least until the 2019 African Championship, as Côte d’Ivoire did not qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
